Course Rosters and Student Accounts

  • To view students who are registered for each course, go to the Select a Course page or choose the drop-down arrow on the far left side and select a course from the list.
  • Then click the Students tab.
  • A list of students that are registered in the course will be displayed.

Adding a New Student to a Course

  • To add a new student to your course, click Add and select Add New.
  • Enter the student information.  A user name and password are automatically generated. Click Save.
  • If you would like to create user names and passwords for your students, click the box under Account Settings to uncheck "Generate User Name and Password".
  • To add a registered student to your course, click Add and select Register Existing
  • Use the grade level filter to narrow your search.
  • Select the students you wish to add by clicking on the boxes next to the student's name and when finished, click Add Selected.
  • The student grade can be changed as needed. Scoring levels are organized by grade bands and are assigned to each student based on their grade level by default.
  • To assign a different scoring level, click the drop down menu and select a different grade band.

  • Repeat this process for each of your courses.
  • If you do not see a specific student's name, please contact your School Administrator. 

Removing a Student from a Course

  • To remove a student from the course, select the student and click RemoveThis removes the student from the course, but not the school.
  • Repeat this process for each of your courses.

Editing a Student Account

  • To edit a student account, select the student and click Edit
  • Update the desired information and click Save
  • To see a student's password, click Show.

You have the ability to change the following information:

  • Scoring Level - You can select a different scoring level other than the student's current grade level in order to improve writing. Scoring levels are organized by grade bands and are assigned to each student based on their grade level by default. To assign a different scoring level, click the drop-down menu and select a different grade band. An asterisk next to the student's name will indicate that their scoring level has been changed. 
  • Account Settings - To see a student's password, click Show.

Printing a Course Roster

To print a copy of the course roster displaying each student's name, username, and password, click the Print button.
